Dormant Company Accounts

What is a dormant company?

A limited company is deemed to be dormant if it’s had no 'significant accounting transactions' since incorporation, or since the last filing of accounts. In other words, the company has not traded in the relevant period.

Usually, only small companies that are exempt from audit file dormant accounts. Dormant company accounts must be filed for every year that the company remains dormant.
